IAEVG International Conference 2011 - Career Guidance and Development Practices around the World

Date :  du 19-10-2011 au 21-10-2011

Lieu :  Cape Town

Organisation :  International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG)
in cooperation with PACE Career Centre

Programme :
The conference theme, “Career guidance and development practices around the world”, creates a space for both academics and practitioners to present their work.

      - Research based sessions:

These refer to scientific papers. Of particular interest will be research relating to cross-cultural career guidance and counseling, field-testing of new or innovative interventions, creative methods for gathering evidence demonstrating the success of interventions, and career guidance and counseling in developing economies. Please note that abstracts should not be limited to these suggestions only as all “cutting-edge” research will be seriously considered.

      - Practice based sessions:

These refer to presentations on career guidance counseling and development within your country or region or specific area of practice. Subject matter relating to “where career guidance is accessed”, “what services are offered”, “professional status of career practitioners”, “funding models” and the like would be very useful. Presenters for this category will be selected based on their experience in their field of practice and not necessarily on their academic experience or background. Insights into “new” practices or “best” practices relating to career guidance, counseling and development will be useful.

Abstracts must be submitted by Sunday 15 May 2011
