The present report extends previous research on the factors associated with students’ well-being in two ways. Firstly, it builds on the application of the job demands-resources model (Demerouti et al., 2001) to a study context (Lesener et al., 2020) by incorporating students’ socio-demographic characteristics as well contextual conditions (academic context and personal study context), which are important for the understanding of stu- dent well-being (Cooke et al., 2004, Cullinan et al., 2020) and have been shown to be strongly related to students’ study situation (Hauschildt, 2024a). Secondly, due to the data source used, it presents a cross-European perspective not present in pre- vious works, which have often been limited to sin- gle courses, institutions, or countries.
